About SPC Support

A mentor in your corner

I created SPC Support to bring my teaching background into the NDIS space in a practical, down-to-earth way. My work is centred on purposeful sessions that help participants learn, practise and apply real-life strategies in ways that make sense for them.

Hi there!

I'm Simone

With over 20 years of professional management (in the private sector) under my belt and a real passion for special education, leading to 10 years as a Special Education Teacher, I started SPC Support Pty Ltd (Support Persistence Confidence) to offer something a bit different in the NDIS space. My expertise lies in Literacy and Numeracy interventions together with Life Skills and Social Skills mentoring. SPC Support is NOT about simply attending sessions and supporting basic needs and appointments, SPC Support offers purposeful, engaging sessions catered directly to skills that needs building and supporting.

I’m not just here to provide a service; I’m here to be a mentor and a partner for families navigating the “complex” side of disability.

My background is a bit of a "triple threat"

I hold a Double Degree in Teaching (Primary) with a Major in Special Education and an Arts degree with a Major in Aboriginal History. Further, I hold a Diploma of Community Services, and a specific Certification in Restrictive Practices.

This means whether we are working through high-needs autism or complex behaviours, you’ve got someone in your corner who truly understands the clinical side but prefers a down-to-earth, human approach.

For me, it’s all about persistence. I believe everyone deserves a mentor who focuses on their strengths and helps them build their capacity so as to enjoy a life they’re excited about. Whether I’m helping someone learn new life skills or getting out and about in the community, my goal is to make sure the people I support feel heard, respected, and ready to take on the world.

My vision

Guidance for long-term growth

I want to be the mentor families trust most to help their loved ones thrive.

My vision is for every person I support to feel like they have a dedicated partner in their corner, giving them the tools to grow their skills, build strong friendships, and gain the independence they need for the future.

My mission

My purpose

My mission is to work side-by-side with the people I support and their families as a true partner in their journey. As a mentor, I focus on what a person is already good at to help them tackle the tricky parts of learning, like reading, writing, and numbers.

For me, it’s about more than just the basics—it’s about building a real relationship to help people develop the social and life skills they need to feel happy, safe, and confident in their everyday lives.

My values

The way I work

These values shape how I show up, how I build trust, and how I guide each person through the moments that feel tricky, new or overwhelming. Each session is approached with care, patience and the belief that progress can look different for everyone.
